Winners of Run 4 Wales’ junior races will get to mark their achievement in an extra special way this year.

Young athletes who come first, second or third in our Future Challengers events will receive a commemorative ribbon hanger to add to their medal, allowing them to keep their medal tidy and easily showcase their accomplishment.

The iTAB ribbon hanger will be dated with the event and year and come in gold, silver or bronze, depending on the participants’ finishing positions.

They will be awarded to the top three boys and girls in the Under 11, Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 age groups.

Future Challengers is part of the Run 4 Wales Next Gen programme.

The series of events aims to support future generations of healthy, active adults and connect them with training, advice, products and services that can enhance their physical and mental wellbeing – setting them on a pathway to a lifetime of good health.

Matt Newman, Chief Executive at Run 4 Wales, said: “It’s really important to us to ensure there is something for everyone at our events and we’re really passionate about providing memorable experiences for young people – from toddlers and children who may be trying out their first running event to the budding athletes of the future.
